Diesen Text habe ich dann mal an Claudia Janssen geschrieben:
mal sehen ob da eine Reaktion kommt.
Dear Claudia Janssen,
Perhaps you have already heard about this.
What Tomtom is doing here is consumer-hostile.
Not that the owners of the Fisker Ocean already have to do without service and original parts.
Now the services are also being switched off without offering any alternatives.
If this continues, 600 vehicles will soon be at a standstill in the EU alone.
Do you think this is the right way to go, just stop the service for 10.000 vehicles EU and US one day before the shutdown for the Fisker Ocean vehicles ?
Why don’t you approach the FOA or Huron (Delaware) to find alternatives, it would be ok, what almost all Ocean owners think, that an amount of 25$ x 10.000$ = 250.000$ should be enough to cover the loss with Fisker in two years, and even make a profit.
You don’t have to believe that even a single one of the 10,000 Ocean owners will ever buy another car or whatever is equipped with Tom Tom software.
That’s how you drive your customers away.
Info: at 02.10.2024 from the Fisker Owner Assosiation (FOA)
Dear FiskerOcean Owner,
As of October 1, 2024, TomTom connected services are offline for Fisker Oceans in Europe and the United Kingdom. Fisker owners in the EEA and UK, and Huron (the management company running Fisker on behalf of creditors) have confirmed the outage. TomTom connected services are still live in the United States, but will cease on October 11, 2024.
Map navigation is still functional, however
traffic and routes are based on stored maps.
Caution - there are no live traffic or online updates!
The abrupt outage of services was NOT communicated, nor was any notice provided by TomTom or Huron/Fisker during existing, ongoing negotiations. FOA has urgently requested Huron/Fisker to provide specific contract expiry dates for other critical connectivity services.
